Tucker ended Week 6 prep with consecutive limited sessions as he manages a quadriceps injury. The running back is not quite ready to return to the field and will not suit up for Sunday's game. Josh Williams has been elevated from the practice squad to serve as the Buccaneers' No. 3 running back behind Bucky Irving and Kenny Gainwell on Sunday.
Injury / practice
RB Sean Tucker will miss Sunday's game against Pittsburgh due to a quad injury, but the knee ailment that landed rookie LB Josiah Trotter on the injury report late in the week will not keep him out in Week Six

Per Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site, head coach Todd Bowles had been treating Tucker as a game-time call for Sunday after the running back sat out one practice and was a limited participant in two others this week while managing the quad issue. Tucker doesn't look to have made enough progress to suit up this weekend, but a final word on his status will arrive when Tampa Bay posts its inactive list 90 minutes prior to the game's 1 p. m. ET kickoff. Tampa Bay elevated Josh Williams from the practice squad and would have him serve as the No. 3 back behind Bucky Irving and Kenny Gainwell in Tucker's expected absence.
Injury / practice
The reintroduction of Tucker at the goal line didn't stop Irving from having his best game of the season last week, but that was against the Cowboys' defense, not the Steelers'. Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay are schedule for a 1:00 p. m. ET kickoff Sunday.
Injury / practice
Tucker took a step in the right direction Thursday after sitting out Wednesday's practice. He'll likely need to upgrade to full participation Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Steelers. Bucky Irving has been the primary backfield option for the Buccaneers, with Tucker and Kenny Gainwell both filling change-of-pace roles when available.
Injury / practice
Tucker may have picked up the injury during the Buccaneers' win over the Cowboys last Thursday, when he played seven offensive snaps and logged five carries for 18 yards. He'll have two more chances to return to practice in at least a limited capacity ahead of Tampa Bay's next contest against Pittsburgh on Sunday. Even if he's available to play Week 6, Tucker will profile as the Bucs' No. 3 back behind Bucky Irving and Kenny Gainwell.
