Slayton signed with the team on Sept. 21 and never managed to earn a role on offense despite the Colts having a clear need at wide receiver. That doesn't bode well for Slayton's NFL future with his 30th birthday coming up in January.
Reporter
Slayton popped up on Friday's injury practice due to a knee issue, which ultimately led to him being sidelined for the Colts' 34-22 loss to the Steelers this past Sunday. However, his ability to practice in full puts Slayton on track to make his Colts debut this Sunday against the Titans. The veteran wide receiver may see a decent workload in his Indianapolis debut, given that Josh Downs is working through a hamstring issue.
