After Henderson suffered a right high-ankle sprain last Sunday versus the Raiders, Stevenson had a chance to take on a large workload in the short term, but with the former active, it's unclear if that's a possibility in Week 6. Any number of scenarios are possible for Henderson, from him taking on his normal number of touches to being available in an emergency capacity. Stevenson should be safe for roughly his typical 14. 4 touches per game, which so far has amounted to 338 yards from scrimmage and two TDs in five contests this season.

Henderson was expected to miss multiple weeks due to a high-ankle sprain that he sustained against the Raiders in Week 5. However, the second-year running back was able to practice in a limited capacity in all three Week 6 practices, which was enough for him to draw the questionable tag for Sunday's AFC East showdown. If he's ruled out, then Stevenson would be the Patriots' clear RB1 and take on a sizable workload, with Corey Kiner serving in a rotational role.
Reporter
The good news for Henderson is that surgery is not required, but whether an stint on injured reserve is necessary remains to be seen. Stevenson has served as the Patriots' RB1 this season, and the veteran's share of the backfield snap count figures to grow even more for as long as Henderson is sidelined, with Corey Kiner slated to take on backup duties. Over his last two games, Stevenson has turned 26 carries into 111 yards (4. 3 YPC) and two touchdowns while adding six catches on eight targets for 48 yards.
